Polish Women Support Group in Walsall
Polish women face unique challenges in maintaining their mental well-being due to cultural and social factors.
Traditional gender roles, language barriers, and limited access to culturally sensitive mental health services can contribute to increased stress, anxiety, and depression among Polish women. We provide support groups during the day (school hours), in the evenings and at weekends to meet various availability needs.)

(Un)Hidden Communities
is a podcast dedicated to highlighting diverse experiences and challenges faced by Eastern European community in UK, often referred to as “hidden or silent community”.
We want to provide a platform for marginalised voices to be heard!
Through in-depth interviews, expert analysis, and personal stories, we will explore a wide range of topics, including:
- * Social and economic inequalities: Examining the disparities and barriers faced by Eastern European communities in various aspects of life, such as employment, housing, and education.
- * Cultural identity and belonging: Discussing the challenges of maintaining cultural heritage while navigating a new society, as well as issues of discrimination and stereotyping.
- * Political and historical contexts: Exploring the complex historical and political factors that have shaped the experiences of Eastern European communities, both past and present.
- * Community activism and resilience: Highlighting the inspiring work of individuals and organisations who are working to address the challenges faced by Eastern European communities and promote social justice.
Join us as we uncover the hidden stories, complexities, and resilience of Eastern European communities, and work towards building a more inclusive and equitable society.
