Reach for a Star is thrilled to invite you to celebrate the culmination of our Wild Canvas Project, a dynamic journey of creative expression and community!
Join us for an afternoon full of artistic exploration, inspiring stories, and vibrant energy at the
Darlaston Library on Saturday 27th January 3pm-5pm.
Wild Canvas is a unique project, empowered by Creative Black Country, embarked on a three-part adventure:
Part 1: A Magical Trip to Cannock Chase: Darlaston families immersed themselves in the beauty of nature, promoting physical and mental wellbeing, mindfulness, and strengthening family bonds.
Part 2: Transforming Experiences into Art: Families channelled their Cannock Chase experience into stunning artwork, expressing emotions, memories, and connections through creative interpretations- delivered by COAR- Children of a Revolution. (www.childrenofarevolution.co.uk)
Part 3: The Grand Exhibition at the Library: This is where you come in!
At the exhibition, you will:

- Witness the incredible artwork created by Darlaston families, showcasing their vibrant perspectives on nature and connection.
- Experience the Cannock Chase journey through captivating photos and videos, reliving the moments of discovery and joy (supported by one of Darlaston’s mums and That’s All Media C.I.C.
- Be inspired by insightful interviews and project stories, understanding the impact of art and nature on our well-being.
- Enjoy a special showcase by talented Grace Academy students, expressing their passion for art through diverse forms, aligned with the themes of mental, physical, and environmental health.
- Immerse yourself in vibrant street art performances featuring skateboarding and music, adding an energetic touch to the event (afternoon and evening depending on schedule).
